SOLD0 LOVE trying to defend Spurs and their fickle cunt support, yet again, I see!... No surprises there!

The lack of blocking consistency is indeed worthy of consideration, stewie.

"I think Hernandez has to play with another actual striker, we knew that when we bought him."
---------------------------------------------
I'm not sure we did know that. Well I know fans didn't know that but Bilic also clearly didn't have a clue about it either. We have 2 small strikers yet have only played one striker for the last several seasons.

I said something like that when we were reported as trying to buy him and got well slagged off for it.

I would have liked us to have been a bit more adventurous, not toe to toe because we don’t have the quality, but they are not all they’re cracked up to be.

Teams seem to have this fear factor before they play them. They’re not Man City.

Have you been considering his block in the last minute that prevented a goal??

This...

Absolutely wasted in that set up... I thought at one stage he was going to have to phone up to try and find where his team mates were... lets be honest we had zero attacking instincts out there... good result BUT that was more BFS than any other BFS performance I can rememeber...

Been considering Noble’s evasive reaction and failure to put any part of his body between Son’s shot and the goal.

Somehow can’t get away from the fact we had shipped a deflected goal in the last game in my considerations.

If Lanzini doesnt get caught on the ball they dont score simple. He had options, and he had enough time to make a decision to retain possestion. To get tackled and lose it was inexcuseable for me, if it was Ayew everyone would be having kittens over it.

It was about 5 passes later Son had a shot, Noble is delaying trying to get Ayew and Lanzini back behind the ball and he has let Son have a punt from 30 yards which looking back he would probably let him do again. The bloke has hit a worldie and its gone top bins so fair play.

I think Hernandez has to play with another actual striker, we knew that when we bought him.

Until we shore up the midfield to the extent that we can actually do that he is never going to be super effective.

He can do better probably, but judging him on last night is not really fair.

Southampton 57,297
Brighton 55,124
Stoke 62,202
Apoel Nicosia 42,679

I'm sure that they were getting 65k on average for the first couple of months or so of the season but their glory-hunter brigade have started to fuck off over the past two months!

They're starting to get lower gates than us in a much bigger stadium when we technically sell-out every match (although a few thousand don't turn-up regularly) - despite the fact that we're a pile of old shit which has been the case too many times over the years.

He's been here 5 mins, not had the chance to sign any players, has made us fitter, organised, competitive and hard to beat. There has been some good results and we are moving up the table yet some clowns are still moaning and nit picking.

Exactly the incident I was referring to. I thought he's out pace the 2 defenders and be one on one with Loris. No pace.

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Very harsh to blame Lanzini for their goal. He was tackled, surrounded by players with no options to get rid of the happened by the sideline in the middle of the pitch. A lot of things had to happen for the ball to end up in the net. I’d say the two main aspects of the goal were the shot itself, and the captain getting out of the way to enable the ball a clear route to goal. Blaming Lanzini is a massive stretch.

Someone said that yesterday was going to be a thankless task for Hernandez.

WHO's determined to prove them right.

He's never been the kind of striker who can hold the ball up, if only because of his physical attributes, and only got the gig because the better candidates were injured.

The bloke has never scored from outside the box in the PL (ever?), and was hardly in the box last night.

Actually, his one good chance that I recall was from outside the box, and he instead tried to get in the box and lost the ball.

I wonder if even he believes he'll never score from outside?
